White Sulphur Springs

White Sulphur Springs is located in Greenbrier County in southern West Virginia. The town has an Amtrak station that services the area several times a week. The famous and historic Greenbrier Resort is also located here. The town suffered serious damage from a devastating flood in 2016, but the community has rallied and is rebuilding and reimaging the town as a hub for recreational enthusiasts and as a gateway to the southern end of the Monongahela National Forest. The 78-mile long Greenbrier River Trail’s begins just 15 miles from town. Lake Sherwood, a popular recreation destination in the southern end of the Monongahela National Forest, is an hour’s drive north of town. White Sulphur Springs is next to Interstate 64 and minutes from the state’s boarder with Virginia.
